China Litigation & Arbitration Assessment
When proceedings are being considered, review the dispute clause, parties, evidence, deadlines, cost and enforcement objective before confirming the representation available.
Start with the clause and parties
Court, institution, location, language and governing-law terms affect the assessment. Provide the whole contract and schedules, not an isolated clause. Overseas representation requires separate confirmation.
Organize the claim and evidence
Map each request, performance issue, amount and loss to supporting material. Explain original documents, electronic records and translations. Identify gaps before deciding on further expenditure.
Compare cost and practical objectives
Consider the amount, procedural fees, lawyer work, translation or expert needs and asset information. The ability to start proceedings does not by itself make them the best business decision.
Proceed within an agreed scope
Document review, procedural assessment, representation and later enforcement are distinct tasks. Confirm the forum, matter type, specialist coordination and stage of work before engagement.
Scope and limitations
This page explains procedural assessment, not an offer to undertake every forum or matter. Filing, success, timing and recovery are not guaranteed.
